Fun Days Out In Babbacombe Perched high on the clifftop, Babbacombe has a small, sheltered beach far below, and is popular for fishing. Access is quite steep from the downs above. The old town is inland from the beach, the church is of interest, next to a tower remaining from a former bishops palace. Lots to do and see, and is ideal for families. Coastal walks and the gardens on the cliffs are lit up in summer.

The fine old merchants buildings in the town remain along with Tiverton Castle, worth a visit, and the canal which has boat trips, horse drawn. The town is one of Devon's gems; full of both colour and character, that stems from a rich cultural, historical and archaeological heritage. It is the second oldest borough in England, and is full of interesting diversions for the visitor museums, a riverside with steamer quay, an ancient Guildhall and Church, a Norman Castle and the North and East Gates.
